The Soup Kitchen - Bloggers Event

Everybody loves soup.  I find it hard to believe there can possibly be anybody out there that doesn't!

What defines a soup? This is Wikipedia's answer. An interesting read.

For this Blogging Event I decided soup would make a fabulous topic.  It's so versatile and the list of flavours is endless, both sweet and savoury, not to mention types and textures too.  This event is open to all bloggers worldwide, but your participating post must be written in English too if your blog is usually written in your own language.

Welcome to The Soup Kitchen Blogger Event and I look forward to perusing everybody's recipes each month.

For rules of entry and further details, please READ HERE

Thank you for joining in.  Let's get cooking mouthwatering recipes to share.

For the first month's event, April 2012 (albeit early) the theme will be .............

Chinese Soup - whatever flavour/type you desire, providing it's Chinese and there's hundreds of them I know, you choose.

Will you be joining in?  Please let me know in the comments section below, thanks.

If you follow the Spanish Wok, you'll never miss a month's theme, weather you participate in all or some.

Hi Debs! Thanks for stopping by my site. I love yours here. I am on holiday in Nottinghamshire right now so I'm afraid that I won't be able to participate by the 20th of this month but will gladly join in on the next. What fun.

Hi Debs, thank you for dropping by my spelonca (it means cave :P). I would love to enter your competition and I will try to make a Chinese-themed soup. This is due by the 20th of March or of April? I got a little confused :))

This sounds like a lot of fun and we're certainly eating quite a bit of soup these days. I can think of Pho, but a Chinese soup might take some thought!

Hi Anda, be pleased to receive your submission, it's due by 20th April to give everybody plenty of time for the very first event, then 20th of each month thereafter. Thanks.

Hi Kellypea, thanks for your comment, I'm sure you can find a chinese soup if you google chinese soup recipes, but please link to the original post in your own post too.

Hi Pepsakoy, thanks so much, I'm sure not everyone will participate each month, you are welcome anytime. Look forward to your submission.

I just whipped up my own version of a south eastern Asian fish soup - would that count as Chinese? I love soups, I can't wait to see what next month's is!

Thanks for leaving a comment on my site and including me in this! I love to be a part of April's challenge! Should we post the recipe on the 20th or just any time before then?

Debs @ The Spanish Wok said...

Becky, I saw on your blog, the soup contains bok choy and ginger, that should be fine. Look forward to receiving your submission.

Debs @ The Spanish Wok said...

Hi Debs! I admire of you and people who challenge themselves in this kind of event. Unfortunately my time is really really limited due to having two kids and their activities, but I'd love to read what everyone is sharing. Thanks for the invitation though. Hopefully I can join this kind of event once kids are older (as I don't belong to any event... :-( ). Have a great week!
